AFTERNOONS

 

 

afternoons

and bungalows low towards the horizon

and neat, open residential areas

like a Sunday morning

afternoons

when people forget

and misses a moment

afternoons

when the day is tired

and the work's not done

and the autumn has long gone

though the winds are cold
